Shree Purushottam Das Motibhai Patel Institute of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Science, Anand, founded in 2007, is a NAAC accredited self financed institute affiliated to Sardar Patel University and run by Anand People’s Medicare Society. The institute provides high quality education to the young and ignited minds of charotar region and all across Gujarat with a mission to enable them become a global citizen. The Institute has adopted Choice Based Credit System (C.B.C.S) and curriculum is designed as per UGC guidelines Initially, the institute offered Masters program in Microbiology and Biotechnology, later it started offering post graduate degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry (2009). In the year 2013, it was conferred with the status of 12b 2f by University Grants commission. The campus is centrally located in the milk capital of India, Anand opposite to bus stand and just 1 Km from Railway Station. It has sprawling lawns and facility of Girls Hostel in the campus.
Shree Purushottamdas Motibhai Patel Institute of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Science, more popularly known as ‘PM Patel College”, affiliated to Sardar Patel University, managed by Anand People’s Medicare Society caters the higher education need of students charotar together with students across the state of Gujarat. The institute has UGC 12b & 2f status has been accredited by NAAC with B grade in the year 2016. The college is well known in terms of teaching and learning, student relationships and wellbeing. The institute lays strong foundation in basic sciences in areas of biological and chemical sciences by offering Masters in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Chemistry. Apart from studies, the campus offers a safe social and physical environment that helps all our students learn and succeed. The institute not only relies on in-house pedagogy from its qualified faculties but also arranges extra mural lectures from distinguished scientists from across the country. PM Patel campus focuses on all round personality development of students. The basic aim of the post graduate program is to build scientific temperament in students and make them research oriented. Along with studies, we arrange regular industrial visits to build a cohesive link between theory and practicals. The vibrant APMS campus has a wide variety of campus diversity events like – Educational tours and picnics, theme based days celebration, social outreach program, environmental awareness, energy audits and awareness on various societal issues like de-addiction, women centric initiatives and a plethora of program. Shree PM Patel institute supports education of girl child and one of the unique feature of this institute initiated by APMS President is ‘Kanyadan’ wherein a token amount of 11,000/- is offered to those girls who have completed higher studies from APMS campus.
